Immaculate Conception Cathedral

 

It is an awesome place, located in the city of Cuenca and is the most representative religious symbol of the city.

Last year, my family and I got the opportunity to know the place.  We have just  arrived but I felt that I was transported to another time. We were dazzled by the astonishing architectural wealth of the cathedral and we were able to appreciate the impressive culture and history in its infrastructure, because it has a mixture of styles such as: Gothic, Renaissance and Romanesque.

Another stunning thing that we could observe inside the cathedral, were the colorful stained-glass windows and their details in gold leaf and marble. The entire tour lasted one hour. Then, we did sightseeing to enjoy the magnificent view of this colloquial city and its superb food.

For me, that was a memorable trip that I would like to repeat because the place filled me with peace.

So, it was a whole different experience.
