Yahuarcocha Lagoon

 

Two years ago, my friends and I planned a trip to this dramatic place, located in Imbabura province specifically in Ibarra city.

We get there early in the morning, so we make good use of the time to do various activities. First, we decided to go on a canoe ride to take a closer look at the unbelievable charm of the place. Then, we fished and tried fried fish with cassava and for dessert some delicious empanadas with cheese. 

                                   

Another unforgettable thing was that we cycled along a track around the lagoon and we watched a car race and of course the local people that were very kind with us.

Visiting this fabulous place was a whole different experience.
